Ten Minnesota cities made this year’s U.S. News & World Report list of the 250 best places to live in the U.S. The highest-ranking city in Minnesota is Plymouth, which ranks 17th in the overall list, and tenth in the Best Small Cities to Live list.
The other nine cities within the top 250 overall list are, in this order, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, Woodbury, Rochester, Eagan, Mankato, Blaine, Bloomington and Duluth
Other cities that made the Best Places to Live in Minnesota list following the ten above are Brooklyn Park, Burnsville, Coon Rapids, St. Paul and Minneapolis.
Factors that go into deciding which cities are best include quality of education, health care, air, environment, state economy and state infrastructure; affordability of housing and overall cost of living; and crime rates, weather temperatures and culture/leisure opportunities.
