Minnesota Perspectives Privacy Policy Updated October 14, 2021

Please take a few minutes to review this policy as it governs your use of the Minnesota Perspectives website, MNperspectives.com, a unit of Kurschner Media (referred to at times below as “Company”), and describes how your personal information is collected, used, shared and protected when you visit, use or make a purchase from MNperspectives.com (the “site,” “we”).  Minnesota Perspectives considers the privacy of our visitors to be extremely important. This privacy policy describes in detail the types of personal information that is or may be collected and recorded when using this site and how it is used.

Types of Information

What You Knowingly Share with Us

Our Site collects any personal information you knowingly and manually provide to us, such as when you register with MNperspectives.com to receive one of our print or PDF downloads, e-newsletters, podcasts, video recordings or other type of content to be delivered to you electronically, and/or register to attend a Minnesota Perspectives produced or co-produced/supported event. Such information typically includes your name and email address. We may also request additional personal/demographic information such as your occupation, title or company size, industry and location.

What Else You Share with Us, and How

Log Files: Like many other Web sites, MNperspectives.com makes use of log files. These files merely log visitors to the site – usually a standard procedure for hosting companies and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement around the site, and gather demographic information. IP addresses do not include your name, email address or other personal information. However, an IP address is the identifier assigned to your computer when you access the Internet and marketers, as well as others on the Internet, will sometimes map where and when an IP address visits various sites on the Internet. This is one reason why you will find ads showing up on your computer related to something you recently looked at while searching on the Internet. We may capture your IP address for record keeping purposes, and to continually strive to better serve you. We do not sell IP address information to third parties. In the event of any suspected inappropriate or criminal activity, we may share IP addresses with the appropriate authorities.

If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers’ respective websites and by visiting, What Are Cookies?

These tools tell us how many people visited on of our site’s pages, how long they read it and any page or pages on our site they came from or went to next, among other things. We use Google Analytics, and it uses cookies to do this. You can learn more about it here. If you prefer information about your visit to our Site is not sent to Google Analytics click here. Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology in their respective advertisements and links that appear on MNperspectives.com and which are sent directly to your browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. Other technologies (such as cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons) may also be used by our site’s third-party ad networks to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on the site. MNperspectives.com has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. As one of these third-party vendors, Google uses cookies to serve ads on MNperspectives.com.
