United Airlines will add a fifth daily flight between Duluth International Airport and Chicago O’Hare, expanding travel options for northern Minnesota passengers. The Duluth Airport Authority says the additional frequency will improve flexibility for travelers and strengthen access to United’s global network.
Airport Executive Director Tom Werner called the move a strong vote of confidence in the region’s air travel market. The new early‑morning departure will support same‑day business trips to Chicago and broaden connections to domestic and international destinations.
Werner emphasized that continued growth depends on local demand, noting that airlines add service when travelers consistently choose Duluth International Airport.
